Board Nominations
The 2008-2009 nominating committee is looking for the following positions
for the LAC Board: Keller Pool Representative, Flower Mound Pool Representative,
Denton Pool Representative, The Colony Pool Representative, Head of
Hospitality, Publicity and Records, 4 athlete Representatives (1 from
each pool) and Head of Social functions. The nominating committee consists
of Blake Alexander, Maryln Voss and Nina Arnett. The board election
will take place at NRH20 at the Fall Picnic on September 14th. If you
are interested in any of these positions or have questions, you may
contact any of the above people.

The 2007-2008 LAC Swim Season will end on August 8th. There will
be no practices from Aug. 9 – Sept. 1. Practices at all four pools will
resume on Tuesday, September, 2nd. Information (dates, fees, etc.) for
the upcoming year will be mailed to current LAC families in the coming
weeks. Should you have any questions regarding group placement, please
see your coach prior to August 8th.
LAC Team Picnic
Save the date! All LAC families are invited to attend the Annual
LAC Team Picnic on Sunday, September 14th from 12 - 6 p.m. at the NRH20
water park in North Richland Hills. The day will include exclusive use
of the water park, the annual parent meeting, and introduction of LAC
Coaches & Board Members. Click

Coach Jason told the Keller Tags swimmers if they finished in the
top ten at TAGS they could shave his head! Well it's pay back time Jason!

Tryout Information
Are you interested in joining LAC? Our evaluation dates for our 2008-2009
season are July 29th, 30th, 31st, and August 4th. You may come to any
of our 4 pools at 4:30pm any of those days. We have pools located in
The Colony, Denton, Keller and Flower Mound. Please call our team manager
at 214-557-1989 with any questions. All swimmers wishing to go “inactive”
over the summer or take the summer off will have to try-out at the end
of July for correct placement.

Long Course Times
When entering a swimmer in the long course meets PLEASE DO NOT CONVERT
their times from short course to long course. Many times they won't
have the "cut".
Please just put them in with their short course times or last years
long course times.

Late Entries
North Texas has changed the late entry policy for NT meets.
To late enter in a North Texas meet, you must bring your US Registration
Card AND a copy of the
best times sheet to the meet. You will not be allowed to late enter
at a meet without your card or best times sheet. The only exception
to this is if you are already entered in the meet and you are adding
an event. Also, please make sure that you check the meet information
sheet to verify that the meet accepts late entries.
