Volunteer Obligation Agreement

LAC hosts or sponsors 4-6 US Sanctioned swim meets throughout the year, along with a number of other events, such as the fall picnic, swim a thon, and the Holiday Parties. All these events require a significant amount of parent and/or swimmer participation to make them successful.

Since LAC is a non-profit swim team run by a Volunteer Board of Directors, we request each member of our team to assist in running the team.  Each volunteer task is given a point value and each LAC family is required to earn at least twenty (20) per year.  For every point under 20 there is an assessment of $20/point. For example, if a family only earns 16 points, they would be 4 short of the 20-point requirement and would be assessed $80 (4 points x $20/point).  There are several meets and a swim-a-thon scheduled in 2009.

Points are not earned at away meets (exception TAGS). We plan to give everyone an opportunity to volunteer and earn his or her points. We hope you view this as we do, a fun opportunity to support the swimmers and give them an environment to succeed!  All volunteer opportunities will be listed on our website and sent via email.  We request all families to sign up thru our team manager for all positions.  Please do not just “show up” or tell your coach.
