Revised Mask and Spectator Policy:

Recently, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) announced new guidance regarding Covid-19 and vaccines. The CDC now says that fully vaccinated individuals may no longer need to wear a face covering in most indoor settings, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance. People are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine.

In accordance with new CDC guidelines and in consultation with management at our training facilities, the following policies are in place and replace prior LAC COVID-19 Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines:

LAC Mask Policy:

LAC will not require proof of vaccination, but we ask our swimmers and families to be respectful of the policy for the safety of our swimmers, staff, other families and facility partners. As always, the health and safety of everyone at LAC is our primary concern.

**Although optional, we have many swimmers that are not currently eligible to receive the vaccination, we ask that all persons entering the facility as part of LAC, please wear a mask when entering, exiting and communicating with swimmers and/or staff. **

  1. Swim Practice at LAC Training Facilities
    1. Masks are optional for swimmers and parents entering the following facilities:
      • Keller ISD Natatorium
      • The Community Activity Center (CAC)
      • Westside Aquatic Center (WAC)
      • Northwest ISD Aquatic Center
      • Eastside Aquatic Center (EAC)
      • The Colony Aquatic Park (TCAP)
  2. LAC Hosted Meets
    1. If LAC hosted meets are at LAC training facilities, then the procedures above apply.  Parents should check meet information for the meet their swimmer is competing in to verify any changes.  Coaches will do their best to inform swimmers of any changes that differ from #1 above.
  3. LAC Non-Hosted Meets
    1. LAC posts meet information on the LAC website.  Coaches will only communicate changes in policy if they differ from LAC’s standard mask policy for LAC practice facilities.

LAC Spectator Policy

  1. LAC Practice Facilities and LAC-Hosted Meets:
    1. Parents or spectators are responsible for knowing what is permissible at the facility they wish to enter.  It is imperative that parents or spectators adhere to the facility guidelines at all times.
  2. Non-LAC Hosted Meets:
    1. LAC posts meet information for all meets that LAC attends; meet information may also be found on the host team’s website.  Parents are responsible for reading meet information regarding host facilities requirements for spectators.
