About Us

Thank you for your interest in Lakeside Aquatic Club (LAC)! Our swim school operates at four locations across North Texas and offers a well-rounded, year-round lesson program. Under the leadership of Sarah Crouch, our Swim School Director, LAC has developed a recognized teaching progression that emphasizes water safety and provides the skills needed to transition into competitive swimming. Since 2012, this program has helped thousands of swimmers build confidence and strong technical foundations.

LAC Lesson Program

Our Developmental Program is designed to give every swimmer the fundamentals of proper stroke technique and efficient movement in the water. Whether your goal is water safety, improving swimming confidence, or beginning the path toward competitive swimming, our curriculum supports swimmers at all levels.

Program Features

  • Year-round lessons at multiple sites

  • Swimmers are evaluated on the first day to determine proper placement

  • 10-level progression that builds skills for all four competitive strokes

  • Continuous advancement: swimmers move to the next level as soon as they master skills—no waiting for a new session

  • Small class sizes (maximum 5 swimmers per instructor)

Swimmers who complete all Black 1/Black 2 skills and pass the required test sets may be invited to join LAC’s club program.

  • Placement is based on age, readiness, and skill mastery

  • For swimmers beginning lessons at age 11–12, the path may take longer

  • Families with older swimmers may contact their site’s Deck Manager for guidance
